I. THE BIBLE - THE INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD

1a.  God Himself is the Author of the Bible

 1) And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.     EXODUS 24:12

2 ) And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:     DEUTERONOMY 6:6

3 ) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.     PSALMS 19:7

4 ) The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.     PSALMS 19:8

5 ) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.     HEBREWS 4:12

1b.  Men wrote the words of the Bible as they were divinely inspired of God.

 6) And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.     EXODUS 34:27

7 ) Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:     ISAIAH 30:8

8 ) Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,     LUKE 1:1

9 ) Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;     LUKE 1:2

10 ) It  seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,     LUKE 1:3

11 ) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:     2 TIMOTHY 3:16

 12) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,     HEBREWS 1:1

 13) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.     2 PETER 1:20

14 ) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.     2 PETER 1:21

1c.  The Bible is without error.  It is the word of salvation and will be true and useful forever.

15 ) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.     PSALMS 12:6

16 ) Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.     PSALMS 119:9

17 ) For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.     PSALMS 119:89

18 ) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.     PSALMS 119:105

 19) The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.     PSALMS 119:130

20 ) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.     PROVERBS 30:5

21 ) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.     ISAIAH 40:8

22 ) Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.     LUKE 21:33

 23) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.     JOHN 17:17

 24) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.     ROMANS 1:16

 25) But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.     1 PETER 1:25

1d.  We must not be ignorant of the Scriptures.  Bible study is vital to our spiritual development and relationship with God.

26 ) And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:     DEUTERONOMY 17:19

27 ) And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.     2 CHRONICLES 17:9

 28) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.     HOSEA 4:6

29) Jesus answered and said unto them,Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.     MATTHEW 22:29

30 ) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.     JOHN 5:39

31 ) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.     ACTS 17:11

32) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.     2 TIMOTHY 2:15

1e.  The Word of God is food for our soul.

33) How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!     PSALMS 119:103

34 ) Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.     JEREMIAH 15:16

35 ) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.     MATTHEW 4:4

36 ) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:     1 PETER 2:2

1f.  The Word of God should be loved and hidden in our hearts.

37 ) The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.     PSALMS 37:31

38 ) I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.     PSALMS 40:8

39 ) Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.     PSALMS 119:11

40) The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.     PSALMS 119:72

41 ) O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.     PSALMS 119:97

42 ) Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.     PSALMS 119:140

43 ) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.     COLOSSIANS 3:16

44) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:     HEBREWS 8:10

 

II. SIN AND SALVATION

2a.  What is sin?

 45) The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.     PROVERBS 24:9

 46) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,     GALATIANS 5:19

 47) Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,     GALATIANS 5:20

48 ) Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.     GALATIANS 5:21

49 ) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.     JAMES  4:17

50 ) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.     1 JOHN 3:4

51 ) All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.     1 JOHN 5:17

2b.  Man is a sinner.

 52) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.     ISAIAH 53:6

53 ) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;     ROMANS 3:23

 54) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.     ROMANS 5:19

55 ) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.     ROMANS 6:23

 56) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.     JAMES  1:14

 57) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.     JAMES  1:15

 58) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.     1 JOHN 1:8

2c.  Jesus Christ provides salvation.

59 ) Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.     ISAIAH 12:2

60) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.     ISAIAH 53:5

61) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.     LUKE 2:11

62) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.     LUKE 19:10

63) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.     JOHN 1:29

64) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.     JOHN 10:11

65) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.     JOHN 15:13

66) This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.     1 TIMOTHY 1:15

67) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.     HEBREWS 2:9

68) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.     1 PETER 2:24

69) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:     1 PETER 3:18

2d.  The blood of a sinless sacrifice atoned for our sins.

70) And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you  when I smite the land of Egypt.     EXODUS 12:13

71) For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.     MATTHEW 26:28

72) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.     ROMANS 5:9

73) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.     HEBREWS 9:22

74) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;     1 PETER 1:18

75) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:     1 PETER 1:19

76) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.     1 JOHN 1:7

2e.  Obedience is essential to salvation

77) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;     JOHN 8:31

78) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.     ACTS 5:32

79) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?     ROMANS 6:16

80) But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein  he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.     JAMES  1:25

81) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.     REVELATIONS 22:14

2f.  Saving faith and belief.

82) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.     MARK 16:16

83) He that believeth onme, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.     JOHN 7:38

84) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.     ACTS 16:31

85) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.     ROMANS 10:9

86) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.     ROMANS 10:10

87) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.     ROMANS 10:17

88) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:     EPHESIANS 2:8

89) But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.     HEBREWS 11:6

2g.  Repentance is essential to salvation.

90) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their  ) land.     2CHR 7:14

91) The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.     PSALMS 34:18

92) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.     LUKE 13:3

93) And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.     LUKE 24:47

94) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.     ACTS 2:38

95) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;     ACTS 3:19

96) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:     ACTS 17:30

97) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.     2 CORINTHIANS 7:10

98) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.     2 PETER 3:9

2h.  Water baptism is essential to salvation.

99) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.     JOHN 3:3

100) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.     JOHN 3:5

101) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.     1 PETER 3:20

2h1.  Water baptism should be performed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

102) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.     ACTS 4:12

103) Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:     ACTS 8:14

104) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:     ACTS 8:15

105) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)     ACTS 8:16

106) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?     ACTS 10:47

107) And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.     ACTS 10:48

108) He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.     ACTS 19:2

109) And he said untothem, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.     ACTS 19:3

110) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.     ACTS 19:4

111) When they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.     ACTS 19:5

112) And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.     ACTS 22:16

113) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?     ROMANS 6:3

114) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.     ROMANS 6:4

115) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:     ROMANS 6:5

116) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.     GALATIANS 3:27

117) And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.     COLOSSIANS 3:17

2h2.  Baptismal formula:  Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

118) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.     ZECHARIAH 14:9

119) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.     MATTHEW 1:21

120) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:     MATTHEW 28:19

121) I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.     JOHN 5:43

122) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.     JOHN 14:17

123) I will   not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.     JOHN 14:18

124) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.     JOHN 14:26

125) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.     ACTS 9:5

2h3.  Water baptism should be performed by immersion.

126) And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:     MATTHEW 3:16

127) And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.     MARK 1:9

128) And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:     MARK 1:10

129) And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.     JOHN 3:23

130) Then Phillip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.     ACTS 8:35

131) And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?     ACTS 8:36

132) And Phillip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.     ACTS 8:37

133) And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.     ACTS 8:38

134) And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Phillip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.     ACTS 8:39

2i.  The baptism of the Holy Ghost is essential to salvation.

135) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:     JOEL 2:28

136) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:     MATTHEW 3:11

137) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?     LUKE 11:13

138) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.     JOHN 3:6

139) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.     JOHN 3:7

140) The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.     JOHN 3:8

141) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;     JOHN 14:16

142) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.     ACTS 1:5

143) But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;     ACTS 2:16

144) And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:     ACTS 2:17

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.     ACTS 2:38

147) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.     ACTS 2:39

148) And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward Generation.     ACTS 2:40

149) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.     ACTS 8:17

150) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.     ACTS 10:44

151) And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.     ACTS 10:45

155) Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?     ACTS 11:17

156) When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.     ACTS 11:18

157) And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.     ACTS 19:6

158) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.     ROMANS 8:9

159) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.     ROMANS 8:10

160) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.     ROMANS 8:11

161) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:     ROMANS 8:16

162) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.     1 CORINTHIANS 12:13

2i1.   Speaking in tongues is the initial, outward evidence of the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

163) For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.     ISAIAH 28:11

164) To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.     ISAIAH 28:12

165) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;     MARK 16:17

166) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.     ACTS 2:1

167) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.     ACTS 2:2

168) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.     ACTS 2:3

169) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.     ACTS 2:4

2i2.   The benefits of having the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

170) For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.     LUKE 12:12

171) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.     JOHN 16:13

172) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.     ACTS 1:8

173) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.     ROMANS 8:26

174) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.     ROMANS 8:27

175) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is  there is liberty.     2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

176) In whom ye also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,     EPHESIANS 1:13

177) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.     EPHESIANS 1:14

 

III. ONE GOD - THE MIGHTY GOD IN CHRIST

3a.  How many Gods exit?

178) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:     DEUTERONOMY 6:4

179) Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.     ISAIAH 43:10

180) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.     ISAIAH 43:11

181) Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.     ISAIAH 44:8

182) Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.     ISAIAH 45:21

3b.  God is a Spirit.

190) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.     JOHN 4:24

191) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;     ACTS 17:24

192) Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;     ACTS 17:25

193) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.     1 TIMOTHY 1:17

3c.  The mighty God was manifest in the flesh.  Jesus is both God and man.

194) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.     ISAIAH 9:6

195) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.     MATTHEW 1:23

196) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.     JOHN 1:1

197) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.     JOHN 1:14

209) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;     TITUS 2:13

3d.  Jesus is the one person of the Godhead.  All fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus Christ.

210) And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.     JOHN 12:45

211) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.     1 TIMOTHY 3:16

3e.  Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  (All repeated verses)

 

4.  The Creation

212) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.     GENESIS 1:1

213) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.     GENESIS 1:2

214) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.     GENESIS 1:3

215) And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.     GENESIS 1:4

216) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.     GENESIS 1:5

217) And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.     GENESIS 1:6

218) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.     GENESIS 1:7

219) And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.     GENESIS 1:8

220) And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.     GENESIS 1:9

5.  The Flood

246) And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.     GENESIS 6:7

247) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.     GENESIS 6:8

248) And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this Generation.     GENESIS 7:1

249) Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.     GENESIS 7:2

250) Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.     GENESIS 7:3

251) For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.     GENESIS 7:4

252) And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.     GENESIS 7:5

253) And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.     GENESIS 7:6

254) And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.     GENESIS 7:7

255) Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,     GENESIS 7:8

256) There wentin two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.     GENESIS 7:9

257) And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.     GENESIS 7:10

258) In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.     GENESIS 7:11

259) And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.     GENESIS 7:12

260) In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;     GENESIS 7:13

261) They, andevery beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.     GENESIS 7:14

262) And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.     GENESIS 7:15

263) And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.     GENESIS 7:16

264) And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.     GENESIS 7:17

265) And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.     GENESIS 7:18

266) And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.     GENESIS 7:19

267) Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.     GENESIS 7:20

268) And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:     GENESIS 7:21

269) All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land  died.     GENESIS 7:22

270) And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive and they that were with him     GENESIS 7:23

271) And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.     GENESIS 7:24

272) And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;     GENESIS 8:1

273) The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;     GENESIS 8:2

274) And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.     GENESIS 8:3

275) And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.     GENESIS 8:4
