Genesis 22:8 - “Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb”

Isaiah 9:6 – it says a child will be born, and a SON given, whose name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace--

Isaiah 42,43- - Prophesies the Lord will go forth as a mighty man (42:13), and will gather all the earth to himself, that they ALL may be justified, both Jew and Gentile alike(42:1,43:9) and that HE IS his servant who he's chosen and beside him there is NO Saviour!(43:10-11). 43:1 – Gentiles will then be able so be saved!  

Psalm 22:1-31 – Gives a full account of the events of Jesus' crucifixion: Vinegar and Gall given for drink, his hands and feet being pierced, lots cast upon his vesture, and word for word account of Jesus crying out “My God My God why hast thou forsaken me?!” fulfilled in Mat 27:46 word for word! (prophesied 1000 yrs BC!)

Zechariah 12:10 – 13:5-6, John 19:37 - Says God will pour out his spirit (of Grace and suppilcations) on the house of David and the inhabitants of Israel-- and they shall look upon ME WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED AND WILL MOURN FOR HIM as their only son!!! (God says right here in the OT that he will be the one being pierced!!!!!)

Isaiah 28:11 – God foretell's the Holy Ghost baptism that occurs in Acts:2:4 – “For with stammering of lips and another tongue shall I speak unto this people and say: This is the rest, whereby ye may cause the weary to rest

**PAUL REPEATS THIS SCRIPTURE IN ACTS 14:21 REFERRING TO SPEAKING IN TONGUES!

Joel 2:28   Acts 2:17 – God will pour out of his spirit on ALL FLESH- Sons and daughters will prophesy... Gifts of the spirit described in 1 Cor 12

EPISTLES-- These are the letters written to the churches started by the Apostles to instruct the church body in righteousness

REVELATION-- The last book of prophecy in the Bible detailing the end of days and very closely correlating to the book of Daniel (4 beasts of Dan:7 become 1 beast in Rev:13)

New Testament--  Requirements for Salvation according to the Bible

John 3:3-8 – Except a man be born of the water AND spirit, he will not enter the Kingdom of God !

John 3:16,  7:37-39 - - Says Whosoever believeth on him SHOULDN'T perish BECAUSE they SHOULD KEEP READING and find that they SHOULD RECEIVE THE SPIRIT in 7:37-39 instead of closing their bible after reading John 3:16 by itself like so many like to do!

*REPENTANCE IS REQUIRED FOR SALVATION! To turn completely from sin to God and his truth!

Luke 13:5 —Except we repent we will perish!

* SPIRIT BAPTISM IS REQUIRED FOR SALVATION! Jn 3:3-8

1 Cor 12:13 -              SPIRIT BAPTISM IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST!

1 Cor 12:3 -                 You can't even call Jesus Lord unless you have the Holy Ghost!!!

Eph 2:18 –                  The Spirit Gives us access to the Father!

Eph 1:13-14 –             The Spirit seals us – And is the Best Part of being a Christian, UNTIL Jesus' Return

Eph 2:5 +Rmn 8:11– We are saved by Grace BECAUSE The Spirit Quickens us out of SIN!!

Romans 8:9-16 –        Says if we don't have the Spirit we are none of his and we'll die spiritual death!

                                    Says that only by the Spirit are we able to Call God our Father

                                    Says that the spirit is is the spirit of adoption into God’s family!

                                    Says only by being led by the spirit are we able to be Sons of God (and daughters too!)

                                    Says the Spirit bears witness that we are the Sons of God (otherwise not!)

*WATER BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME IS REQUIRED FOR SALVATION!

JESUS' BLOOD WASHES AWAY OUR SINS, WITHOUT THIS REDEMPTION ISNT POSSIBLE:

Eph 1:7 – We Have redemption through his blood, through the forgiveness of sins

**WATER BAPTISM IS WHERE JESUS' BLOOD IS APPLIED: (ONLY AFTER REPENTANCE!)

Lk 24:47- - Repentance and Remission of sins should be taught in HIS NAME beginning at Jerusalem

Acts 2:38- - Baptism is for the remission of sins!

HOW WE OBEY THE GOSPEL: – DO WHAT THE DISCIPLES DID! 

JESUS GAVE PETER THE KEYS THAT WOULD UNLOCK THE DOOR TO THE KINDOM OF GOD AND PETER WOULD THUSLY PREACH THE FIRST MESSAGE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT IN OBEDIENCE TO JESUS GREAT COMMISSION

Mat 16:15-19 – Jesus gave Simon Peter the keys to the kingdom, and called him “ROCK” (Petros) and upon this ROCK (PETER) he would build his church!!!

**GREAT COMMISSION COMMANDED BY JESUS- Make Disciples in all nations and baptize them all IN ONE NAME (“THE NAME” denotes a single name in Mat 28:19)!! 

Luke 24:47- - Great Commission according to Luke's acct      (PETER WAS HERE for Jesus Commandment AND JESUS COMMANDED THEM TO TARRY IN JERUSALEM TO RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST BEFORE THEY STARTED PREACHING THE GOSPEL-- SOMETHING WE ALL MUST DO!!!) JESUS TOLD THEM REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS SHOULD BE PREACHED IN HIS NAME!

Mat 28:19- Great Commission according to Matthew's acct  (SAME GREAT COMMISSION – PETER WAS HERE TOO IT WAS THE SAME TIME AND SAME PLACE AS LUKE 24:47 AND MARK 16 !!!)

THE DISCIPLE'S OBEDIENCE TO THE GREAT COMMISSION-

GALATIANS 1:8-9 – PAUL SAYS ANYONE PREACHING ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN THE DISCIPLES WOULD BE ACCURSED!  (HE SAYS THIS TWICE! HE WAS VERY SERIOUS!)

PETER MADE NO MISTAKE IN WHAT HE PREACHED IN ACTS 2:38 —THEY ASKED WHAT THEY MUST DO TO BE SAVED AND PETER TOLD THEM,  AND SAID EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO SAY IN OBEDIENCE TO MAT 28:19! MAKE NO MISTAKE HE KNEW WHAT TO SAY! PAUL, PETER, PHILLIP, TIMOTHY, JOHN, THEY ALL PREACHED THE SAME MESSAGE.

THIS IS WHAT WE MUST ALSO DO. THEY WALKED WITH JESUS IN PERSON AND KNEW HIM MUCH BETTER THAN WE DO, AND WE SEE IN ACTS HOW THEY OBEYED LUKE 24:47 AND MAT 28:19  THEY WENT TO JERUSALEM AS INSTRUCTED AND RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST THEN BEGAN MAKING DISCIPLES BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

AFTER THE HOLY GHOST WAS POURED OUT FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME IN Acts 2 (Promise of the Father) ALL THE 11 DISCIPLES WERE THERE, PLUS MORE, ABOUT 120 TOTAL, BUT PETER PREACHED THE MESSAGE! WHY? HE WAS GIVEN THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM! THE CHURCH WOULD BE BUILT UPON HIM, THE ROCK – READ MAT 16:15-19 AGAIN! (PETROS = “ROCK” IN GREEK)

PETER PREACHED WHAT WE MUST DO: (ACTS 2:37)

Acts 2:38 – “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST!” 

**SO THEY BAPTIZED THEM  IN JESUS NAME AND MADE DISCIPLES LIKE JESUS COMMANDED!

**AND THEY DID IN FACT MAKE DISCIPLES AS JESUS COMMANDED, ABOUT 3000 THAT DAY!!!

(ACTS 2:41)

NO DISCIPLE EVER BAPTIZED SAYING “IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER SON AND HOLY GHOST—WHY IS THAT? READ ON TO UNDERSTAND:

****Proofs that Jesus and God are one in the same, clarifying WHY all the Disciples baptized in Jesus Name—The NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost- AND THE CREATOR SAVIOUR SANCTIFIER LORD OF LORDS ETC

Rev 4:2 – God has only ONE Throne in heaven, and only ONE sits on the throne!!! His name is Jesus Rev 22

Rev 22:1-16 - God and the Lamb are one, on one throne, and HE has ONE NAME! Jesus, Who is the ROOT AND the OFFSPRING of David! (He created David, yet is also his bloodline!!) He is the Beginning AND End!

Mat 1:23 – Jesus was Emmanuel, which literally means “God With US” (Quotes Isaiah 7:14 )

John 1:1-14- - The WORD was WITH God and the WORD WAS GOD, and (Vs. 14) GOD WAS MADE FLESH

John 1:10 – He was IN the world, AND the world was MADE BY HIM! JESUS WAS THE CREATOR OF ALL!

John 10:30 – Jesus says “I and my Father are one!”

John 14:8 – Jesus says, “If you have seen me you have seen the Father!”

John 20:28 – Thomas calls Jesus “My Lord and My God”

1 Tim 3:16- - GOD was manifest in the flesh, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory! That was Jesus that the word is calling GOD!!

Col 2:9 – The fullness of the Godhead dwells within Jesus bodily – ONLY ONE GOD with ONLY ONE BODY!

Isaiah 9:6 – A son is given who will be the EVERLASTING FATHER, AND THE MIGHTY GOD

Zec 12:10 – God says “they shall look upon ME WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED and they will mourn for him”

(God says he will be THE ONE on the CROSS!!! )  WOW!

Zec 13:2-6 – The Lord of Hosts says he will be pierced among friends!!

ISAIAH 42:13 – THE LORD WILL COME FORTH AS A MIGHTY MAN!

IF JESUS AND HIS FATHER ARE ONE THEY HAVE THE SAME NAME! REV 22 PROVES THAT GOD AND THE LAMB ARE ONE AND HIS NAME IS JESUS!

PETER WAS THERE IN MAT 28:19 / LUKE 24:47 AND THAT'S WHY HE DID BAPTIZE EVERYONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS- IT’S THE ONLY NAME OF THE  FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST! THE DISCIPLES KNEW THAT, DO YOU KNOW THAT?

JESUS GREW FRUSTRATED WITH PHILIP IN JOHN 14:8 BECAUSE HE DI DNT REALIZE THAT JESUS AND THE FATHER ARE THE SAME ONE AND IT STILL FRUSTRATES HIM TODAY!! BUT PETER DID UNDERSTAND THIS AND AS A RESULT HE WAS GIVEN THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM!!!! DO YOU WANT THEM TOO??

**WATER BAPTISM AS IT OCCURRED IN THE SCRIPTURES:

**-- THE ONLY TIME ANYONE WAS EVER BAPTIZED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IN OBEDIENCE TO THE GREAT COMMISSION HAPPENED IN THE BOOK OF ACTS:

ACTS 2:38 - - Everyone MUST be baptized in Jesus Name!!!

ACTS 8:16  – Only they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus

ACTS 8:38   – How do you think Philip baptized the Eunuch?

ACTS 10:48- - The angel told Cornelius To ask PETER how to be saved! Peter told him how!

ACTS 19:5 – The disciples of John were REbaptized in Jesus Name!

**HOLY GHOST  (SPIRIT) BAPTISM: ONLY TOOK PLACE IN ACTS 2, 8, 10, 19

ACTS 2:4- - They were ALL filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues

ACTS 8:18 – How could they see the spirit filling people? They HEARD them speak with tongues!(10:46)

ACTS 10:46 – For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God!!!

ACTS 19:5 – Paul’s first question for them was “Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?” His second question was “How were ye baptized?” – HE PREACHED THIS TO EVERYONE THE SAME WAY  Paul laid hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and spoke with tongues and Prophesied!

**EVIDENCE OF RECEIVING THE HOLY GHOST**

John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time! (But Jesus declared him)

Simon (in Acts 8:18 ) did not see the Spirit of God with his eyes because we cannot see him!  

As the Bible says, they knew when people received the Holy Ghost and when they hadn't yet received it (Acts 8:16). God doesn’t leave his people in the dark confused whether they’ve received his spirit or not, when you receive the Holy Ghost you know it!

ACTS 8:8 THEY UNDOUBTEDLY HAD GREAT EMOTION, BUT EMOTIONS DID NOT SIGNIFY THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST OR THAT THEY WERE BORN AGAIN! (Acts 8:16 says they had not yet received the Spirit Baptism)

HOW COULD SIMON HAVE “SEEN” THAT THE HOLY GHOST WAS GIVEN BY THE LAYING ON OF THE HANDS OF THE APOSTLES? (Acts 8:18) When you cant see the spirit of God with your eyes?

ACTS 10:45-46 – THE JEWS WERE ASTONISHED THAT GENTILES HAD RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST-- HOW?? BECAUSE THEY HEARD THEM SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES!!!

1 Cor 14:22 – Tongues are given as a sign for unbelievers! In Acts 10:45 the Jews couldnt believe Gentiles received the Holy Ghost too!

THAT'S HOW THEY KNEW IN ACTS 2 ,  ACTS 8 ,  ACTS 10 ,  ACTS 19 AS WELL! THERE HAD TO BE SOME EVIDENCE OR THEY COUL DNT HAVE WRITTEN IT IN SCRIPTURE THAT THESE HAD RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST! THERE WAS A DEFINING SIGNIFICATION THAT MADE PEOPLE SURE IT HAD HAPPENED, AND THAT BEFORE THIS SIGNIFICATION IT HAD NOT YET HAPPENED.

AND THAT'S HOW YOU AND I KNOW IF WEVE RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST TOO! THE SCRIPTURE MAKES THIS VERY CLEAR. NO TONGUES, NO HOLY GHOST! IT JUST COMES WITH IT JUST LIKE YOUR SHOES, AND WHY IS THAT A PROBLEM FOR SO MANY? THE BIBLE SAYS IT!

THE SCRIPTURE TELLS US IN MARK 16:17 THAT THEM THAT BELIEVE WILL SPEAK IN NEW TONGUES AND MORE!! DO YOU BELIEVE??

CONCLUSION:

HOW CAN SOMEONE PRAY OVER THEIR FOOD IN JESUS NAME, PRAY FOR HEALING IN JESUS NAME, AND NOT SEE THAT THEY SHOULD ALSO BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME??

If someone baptized you and they didn’t say “I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins”, they never said the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and they did not understand what the disciples understood as we clearly see they baptized only in Jesus Name! I can bet they also didn’t tell you to expect to receive the Holy Ghost either, which is also what the disciples were very adamant about preaching!

Please, this decision is between you and God, and if you haven’t been baptized according to scripture we will do it anytime you are ready to in Jesus Name and Ye Shall receive the Holy Ghost like they all do in the scripture every single time! It still happens today and it is for you too!

Further Scriptural Study on Speaking in Tongues:

There are some that believe that because Paul said “do all speak with tongues?” in 1 Cor 12:30 that not every body is supposed to. Yet this letter was being written to a church that had already spoken in tongues when they received the Holy Ghost the first time!

He meant in the Church assembly. Realize that the letters to the church at Corinth were LETTERS TO THE CHURCH BODY! (14:23 Says this specifically) Paul was talking about doing things in order WHILE IN CHURCH!

Acts 2:4 - -        All that received the Holy Ghost also spoke in tongues

Acts 10:45 - -    All that received the Holy Ghost here also spoke in tongues

1 Cor 12:31- -   Says to covet spiritual gifts!

1 Cor 14:4 –    Says when you speak in tongues you edify yourself (Strengthen yourself)

1 Cor 14:17 –  Says when you speak in tongues you “Give thanks well”

1 Cor 14:5 –    Paul says he wants us all to speak in tongues AND to Prophesy too!!!

1 Cor 14:23 –  Says we shouldnt all run around speaking in tongues to avoid scaring someone off!

                        ** This doesnt mean we are not supposed to speak in tongues at all though!!

1 Cor 14:18-19 – Paul thanks God he speaks with tongues more than “ye all” yet IN CHURCH MEETINGS

                        WHILE HE IS PREACHING he would rather speak things we can understand. Paul was a                          

                        PREACHER and when he was at church he would be PREACHING!  This means that                               

                        PREACHERS need to PREACH the WORD instead of rambling in another language!!

1 Cor 14:39 – Covet to Prophesy and FORBID NOT to speak with tongues

                        ** Don't reject speaking in tongues just because you think it's strange!!

Isaiah 28:11 – God will speak to his people with stammering of lips and another tongue, and YET THEY WOULD NOT HEAR!!!! 

Don't be “they that wouldn't hear” just because tongues is strange!

God chose speaking in tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost did he not?? Acts 2:4 makes that obvious
